Jim Matzenbacher's Father Passes Away
Vernon A. Matzenbacher (father of ITPA antique puller, Jim Matzenbacher), age 75, of Fults, Illinois passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2010.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010 at the Quernheim Funeral Home, 800 South Market St., Waterloo, Illinois and from 9:00 a.m. until time of serice on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 at the St. John United Church of Christ in Maeystown, Illinois.
Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 at the St. John United Church of Christ in Maeystown, Illinois.
Marc Clifton Passes Away
Marc Clifton former ITPA super stock puller and father of current ITPA super stock puller Rusty, age 51, of Rantoul, Illinois passed away Tuesday evening (August 24, 2010) at the Carle Hopital after a long battle with cancer.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Thomasboro TIA Hall, Main St., Thomasboro, Illinois. In memory of Marc, the family asks that guests dress casual and show support by wearing Cardinals, Cowboys and John Deere appparel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in order to establish an ITPA Scholorship or to make a contribution to the Carle Cancer Center in Marc's name. Donations can be sent to Gretchen Clifton, 2784 CR 1800 East, Rantoul, Illinois 61866.
GOOD NEWS: ITPA Antique puller and Southern Zone Director, Ron Kolweier was released from the hopital on Saturday, August 21, 2010 and is now home recuperating from his accident at the Illinois State Fair on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Ron suffered a severe concussion and required 11 stiches in the back of his head.

ITPA Board Meeting
The Board of Directors of the Illinois Tractor Pulling Assn. met on Sunday, March 14, 2010. Results are:
The 12,000# Pro Farm class now has the same turbo rule as the 9500# Pro Farm class (maximum 3.00 inches at the inlet).
Also, the 9500# Limited Pro Stock class will be added in 2011.

ITPA Awards Banquet
The 2009 Illinois Tractor Pulling Association's Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet was held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, Illinois. Approximately 450 people were in atttendance to honor the 2009 ITPA sponsor, promoters, point winners, special award winners and their families. Over $80,000 in point fund checks, cash, Burrus seed corn, merchandise and door prizes were awarded. Dan Bartling (with help from Esdon) was the winner of the competing membership drawing "pass the envelope game". Congratulations to all ITPA point champions and special award winners.
