9500# Farm Stock
New turbocharger rule - Allowed to run one turbocharger with the inlet on the compressor side of the turbo limited to a maximum of 3.00 inches. Map width enhancement grooves allowed.
All vehicles to be equipped with a factor 2-post R.O.P.S. for make and model of vehicle. A securely installed lap belt with a quick-opening clasp (lever type - no push button type) is required and must be worn. OR SFI Spec 47.1 roll cage with 5 point harness and driver must have complete safety equipment (approved helmet, neck collar, fire suit, head sock, fire shoes and fire gloves).
Modification or removal of front bolster allowed and the 9500# Farm Stock will now run under the same front axle rules as the 12,000# Farm Stock.
9500# Farm Stock vehicles will be allowed to compete in the 12,000# Farm Stock class weighing 9500 lbs.
1800# Limited Mini Rod
Weight change - Vehicles weigh 2000 lbs. for 512 cubic inch NA or 1900 lbs. for 575 cubic inch NA and 380 cubic inch blown.
12,000# Farm Stock
The 12,000# Farm Stock class will run a maximum of 2.25 inch inducer bore restrictor (back like 2007 rules). Intercoolers are allowed.
1050# Super Stock
Ground clearance for driveshaft/crankshaft will be a minimum of 11 1/2 inches when measured at the forward most face of the engine crankcase. Engine side shield rules and frame assembly ground clearances to remain as written.
2000#Mini Rod
SFI has issued a 5% tolerance for roll cage weight specifications. For the 2008 pulling season the 2000# Mini Rod class will be allowed to weigh 2050 lbs.
6000# Super Stock
SFI has issued a 5% tolerance for roll cage weight specifications. For the 2008 pulling season: non-component vehicles in the 6000# Super Stock class will be allowed to weigh 6200 lbs.
Mini Rod Skid Plate
Mini Rod front axle skid plates must be in one of the two types listed below:
- Skid plate mounted to center of axle must be a minimum of 10 inches wide with rolled edges both front and rear. Plate must be a minumum of 4 inches in length. Plate must be centered and securely mounted to front axle and /or frame.
OR
- Skid plate mounted inline with each frame rail(on both sides) equal in strength to frame rail material. Skid plate surface to be a minimum of 2 inches wide and 10 inches long with a minimum 2 inch curve when measured from the front most part of rolled edge.
Note: Both types must be able to suport the weight of the front end when checked with a jack. Maximum ground clearance not to exceed 2 inches with front tired in normal operating position.
Tractor Skid Plate
Front axle skid plates specs for all tractor classes except 1050# Super Stock, Antique, Classic and Farm Stock divisions.
- Skid plate must be mounted inline with each frame rail and extend from the center of the front axle forward(on both sides) equal in strength to frame reail material. Skid plate surface to be a minimum of 4 inches wide and 12 inches long with minimum 6 inch curve when measured from the front most part of rolled edge.
Note: Skid plate must be able to support weight of the front end when checked with a jack. Maximum ground clearance is bottom of front. wheel rim not to exceed 4 inches with front tires in normal operating position.
OR
- Front axle support to be made of 2.00" x .095" chrome moly tubing or 2.00" x .120" mild steel tubing or same material as tractor frame rails. Front axle support should connect to each frame rail inline and extend toward front of tractor. Front skid/front axle support should have radius to prevent digging into track. Front axle support frame should be strong enough to suport front end weight of tractor. SUpport should have a maximum of 4" gound clearance.
